STRUCTURE OF THE PROJECT

•Component II is a systematic and sustained trade related capacity building initiative directed at both government and non government stakeholders.

Purpose

To facilitate the three key sets of stakeholders – government, the enterprise sector, and civil society – to participate in and benefit from the institutions, negotiations and processes that shape trade policy and rules and practices of international trade.

To improve the competitiveness of enterprises , especially those that directly provide livelihood options for the poor , to respond to globalisation, by strengthening trade policy and trade support institutions.

To facilitate enhanced collection, dissemination and analysis of trade related information including those related to social and economic impacts.

COMPONENT I

Assisting negotiators in understanding development and pro- poor dimensions of key trade issues

COMPONENT II

Strengthen human and institutional capacity of stakeholders through Trade Related Capacity Building (TRCB) activities in sectors which affect the poor .
